The SECOND Summer Reading Raffle Winners: The Children’s Winner Landry Miller (preschooler) won a basket filled with Super Hero themed books, games and toys, the Teen Winner Evan Nay (12) won 4 books, a movie DVD and a $20 gift certificate for 41 Degrees North restaurant . The adult winner Brian Maust won a chocolate themed basket filled with chocolate treats and two books . Submit your reading hours in time for the next raffle on July 20th. Winners will be selected from kids who read at least 4 hours, teens who read at least 6 hours and adults who read at least 7 hours.

On Tuesday, July 7 at 1:00 p.m. see the drama "Woman in Gold"starring Helen Mirren as an octogenarian Jewish refugee who takes on the Austrian government to recover artwork she believes belonged to her family.

Our summer book discussion group's second meeting is on Tuesday, July 14. Two convenient times are offered: Day Yak meets at 1:00 p.m. and Night Yak meets at 7:00 p.m. Register at the front desk to pick up a special copy of the book. See book selections and schedule.

The next Build It Club is on Friday, July 16 at 2:00 p.m. and open to EVERYONE for Egg Drop Day. Bring your Egg Drop Container to the library to test it out. Eggs are provided. The Middlebury Fire Department with their ladder truck provides the HEIGHT--dropping containers from 35 feet, and any survivors from 60 feet! On Friday, July 17 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., kids of all ages are invited to make a variety of Superhero Crafts at the library. Supplies are provided. Hosted by the Teen Advisory Board.
