Movie Information On Tuesday, September 2 at 1:00 p.m. see the film "Cesar Chavez" which tells the story of famed civil rights leader and labor organizer. Chavez’s story is a testament to the power of one individual’s ability to change the world.

September's teen craft is making Magazine/Paper Baskets on Thursday, Sept. 4, from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. For program details and to register, see our Event Calendar or call Kelsey. Materials will be available for those who register; we may run out for those who have NOT registered. So don't forget to sign up!

On Thursday, Sept. 11 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. teens are discussing “If I Stay” by Gayle Forman. Special copies of this Teen Book Club selection are available at the Front Desk for teens to check out. The book discussion will be held at Northridge High School, Mr. Lanctot's room.

Congratulations to Northridge Middle School student Tricia Copeland and Jefferson Elementary Teacher Sarah Lavy who each won a $100 gift certificate for their participation in this year's Teen and Adult Summer Reading Programs. Pre-schooler Taylor Pires won a $50 gift certificate for her participation in the Children's Summer Reading Program.

The more you read, the better were your chances to win the drawing for these gift certificates from Better World Books. The total number of hours read this summer were over 10,000 hours, with kids reading 4158 hours, teens reading 1800 hours, and adults reading 4347 hours.
