Don't put away your clubs yet! Mini Golf at the Library is coming on Saturday, November 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Adults - $5, 12 & under - $3. This fundraiser is sponsored by the MCEC to support the library, parks and museum in Middlebury.

On Tuesday, October 7 at 1:00 p.m. see the poignant drama "Trip To Bountiful"starring award winning Cicely Tyson as Carrie Watts. The elderly Carrie's wish is to visit her hometown of Bountiful but her son and daughter-in-law refuse to take her. Undeterred, Carrie finds her own way home.

On Tuesday, October 14 at 7:00 p.m. meet area candidates. Joe Bock who is running for U.S. Congress will be here as well as candidates for Elkhart County Sheriff and Elkhart County Auditor.

Join us this fall for “Salsa, Tacos and More: Hispanics in America”. The second lecture will be given by Mennonite Central Committee Member, Saulo Padilla, on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 7:00 p.m. on “Enrique’s Journey” by Sonia Nazario, a national bestseller. Stop by the Front Desk to register and pick up a special copy of this book.

On Thursday, October 23 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. hear Indiana Author Natalie Replogle talk about her "Come to My Rescue" inspirational book series. There will be a book signing and books will be available for purchase.

Looking for teen book lovers (ages 13 -18) and struggling readers (grades K-5). Supervised sessions are offered on Mondays and Tuesdays from 4:45 to 5:15 p.m. starting October 6. A child meets once a week with a teenager to read and do a small activity which encourages literacy. Contact Kelsey for more information and to register.

The library no longer provides headsets for our adult computers. Bring your own or purchase earbuds at the Front Desk for a $1.50. Earbud sales are sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
